Mother, Wood / 9, Metal

Less, as they say, is more.

Sometimes you need to prune away what no longer serves you in order to make your growth more productive.

Today is a perfect day for just such an undertaking. With the waxing moon at your back, you should have access to the clarity to see what needs to stay and what needs to go.

Good pruning is directed and thoughtful, not random. It does more than just trim away at the edges, it can call for cutting that goes right to the trunk sometimes. But the inevitable result is that the remaining growth grows more lush and, if it is a fruiting tree that is being pruned, it bears more heavily.

If you do what needs to be done today, your tomorrow will be so much more sound and stable.
