VI, Choice / XIV, Moderation

In the more recent tarot decks, the card you are probably familiar with in the VI position is called The Lovers. The lovers are usually depicted on either side of a rather large angel. But in the original decks, the central figure was not an angel, but a man. On one side of the man was depicted his lover, or wife, as she was sometimes called and on the other side was...his mother.

The original meaning of this card was, as I have called it, choice.

We have choices to make every day, some of them easy, some of them difficult. This card, Choice, is not about the easy decisions. It is about the difficult ones. It is about the decisions where it seems that each side has something to offer. The ultimate decision is usually between advancing or staying still...and staying still always seems more comfortable. But is it? Really?

So maybe, just for today, you don't have to take the high road. Maybe today you can find a time out of time where you can ponder your options and weigh the variables. Today, tap into the good sense that you have, and, as my first Feng Shui teacher, Melinda Joy, used to say, walk with it.

Perhaps tomorrow your choice will come crystal clear, like a teardrop catching the sun.

I love the choice card. Not only because it is a great interpretation of the Lovers, but because I got it in a reading a good friend did for me a week or so ago, and this idea of a big choice is exactly what was at the heart of the matter..the thing I had to keep in mind. That it is my choice. That I can create whatever I put my mind to. Now if it were only so easy to clarify exactly what I really want!

Your body know what will work best.

Take your choices - including the possibility of something you don't have conscious knowledge of - into SW one at a time. Ask your body to let you know what the energy is around each of them. Beleive me, it will help.

In this new location, I could just blindly start over, doing exactly what I was doing in NJ. Instead, I'm using SW to guage what will work best here.
