Some aspect of your material world is coming to its natural end. Everything material ends sometime.

If you have been in a sad state, physically or financially, this may be good news. If you've been in a great state, it may be daunting...or not. It may be a small change. It may be a big change. But change is change. If you know that, then you know that everything goes 'round and 'round and 'round again. If you know that, then you should be prepared for it, at least mentally, and that counts for a lot. Everything, in fact.

Earth rules the material world; the number nine is a number of completion. X, ten in Roman numerals, is the natural successor to nine and the cards of the Major Arcana, related as they are to the archetypes of our world, represent the Big Picture. So here we are, stepping out of our past and into the vast unknown.
