XII Humility / Metal Father

We have the opportunity to be humbled every day.

To look at a tree, the sun, a river, to realize how incapable we are of such creation, is to be humbled.

Sometimes, however, we become the instruments of our own humility. Keep an eye out for that today and, if it happens, learn from it. That's what it's there for.

If you seek to avoid a lesson in humility at your own expense you'll need to be very conscious of what you are saying and doing. "Think first" might be a good adage for the day. That and, "Watch your step." And you might want to avoid being at all arrogant. That'll get you every time.

Worst case, you'll end up a wiser human being, and that's not so bad.
