Water Father / Water Daughter

Feelings are often subtle things...not every feeling is easily identifiable. Yet it is feelings that color the decisions we make, the way we interact with the world on any given day and the way people respond to us.

It is appropriate to allow yourself time today to sort out what you are really feeling. Not in a linear, list-making kind of way but in a sitting with the feeling/s way. Today is a day when, if you can create for yourself a space in which to allow your feelings to open - slowly, gently - you will be able to discriminate very clearly exactly what it is you are feeling.

Knowing how much excitement, trepidation, confusion, security, etc you are feeling can help you make appropriate decisions. It can help you understand why you have made some of the decisions you have already made. It can alert you to yourself.

Most of us plow through life at such a rate that we skim our own surface. We say that we "feel sad," or that we are "happy," but we miss the intricacy. We miss that we are sad but also relieved and a little bit angry. Or that we are happy but also kind of confused and just a touch worried.

Only if we acknowledge the fullness of what we are feeling can we be truly useful to ourselves and to those with whom we share our lives.
