Well, what can I say? Here in the US, it's a holiday and that means family gatherings and the resurfacing of ancient memories and the coming together of people who don't normally come together, sooooooo it can be a little challenging.

Today, you'll be pleased to know, will be no exception. On the bright side, it should be a milder version of that scenario.

Latch on to the good memories and the wonder of life, be kind and non-judgmental and if you can't be with the ones you love, be forgiving to the ones you're with.

I confess that I often wonder what this whole families getting together to make each other crazy at holidays thing is all about but the fact is that not all families do make each other crazy and even for the ones who do, it doesn't happen all the time. The potential for love is present everywhere, all the time. Perhaps we have these occasions to give ourselves the chance to real-ize that potential, to open to the possibility of a love so large that we can embrace all of us.
