Water 2 / Earth 8

Let it go, let it go, let it go. (sung to the tune of "let it snow")

Fact is, it isn't easy letting go of material possessions and it isn't easy letting go of life. We get attached. And while it's usually easy for people to understand that letting go of life can be a real struggle, sometimes it is difficult to comprehend why letting go of things can be hard too.

But things - your things, my things - have history with us. They've shared our life, may even have been part of very important moments in our lives. Sometimes letting go of mere things is letting go of part of our past, part of who we are. Still, we need to let go of at least some of our past if we want to change ourselves, our lives and so, we need someone to talk with, maybe even just talk to.

The act of verbalizing the attachment, the reason for the attachment, can let you process its (the reason's) importance to you and in doing so can reinforce for you the fact that it is not the object that is of importance, but the reason the object is in your life and. clearly, you will not forget that reason.

So, find someone to talk with...and let go of that which needs to be left behind.
