Tarot reading is not a science, it is what I call an intuitive art. Both the interpretation of the layouts and the interpretations of the cards are dependent upon the reader and the reader is dependent upon the clarity of his or her own intuitive skills. I mention all this to explain why the interpretation of reversed cards may vary from one reading to another.

Rversed cards are no more - or less - than the same card in a different relationship to you...could be that the energy of that card has passed, could be that it hasn't actually shown up yet, could be that it's slightly twisted, could be any number of things. The first thing I tell anyone who is studying tarot with me is, after one reading, to throw away the book that came with their cards. What matters is your response to the cards.

That said, for today, There may have been some unsurity going on for you. You may have felt confused or conflicted about something. That's pure Air 4 speaking, the intellect in a bind. But you have also been through - with exquisite effort on your part, (the Metal 8, the ring, reversed), a transformation of some sort, (XIII Transformation, the butterfly, reversed). This process of transformation has led you to where you are now, in a place where you need to remove from your life that which no longer serves you in order for that which remains to flower!

Rise above whatever fog there may be about your situation in whatever way you can - list-making is often helpful - get out the long-handled pruners and get to work reaching all those hard-to-reach dead and dying branches. You'll be glad you did.
