Reach out and give from your heart - or from your purse. And don't feel bad if it takes a little internal push to do it; it may.

The day is made for sharing what you have, which may mean something as simple as lending a hand where it's needed when you hoped to be doing something a bit more fun or showing up to something you'd really rather have missed. But pushing past your own internal objections should be easy today because what is so often called "the best in you" is available for tapping.

There are among us very few who always put the other guy first. Selfish is OK sometimes. But today...push past it and do what, deep inside you where we are all One, you know you should do.

The suit of metal is complex. It represents our will. Sometimes that will seems to be born of the physical (as maybe most of our functions are!), but the mind is always heavily involved, like when you have to move something that is really heavy and you just...don't...give...up...till it's where it needs to be. The body may be doing the work but the mind provides the motivation. Staying on a diet takes will power to rise above what seems to be a very physical desire to eat...but rarely is. Setting a schedule to do some one thing - like study or exercise - every day takes will power even if it doesn't seem as if it does. Will power comes easier to some of us than to others. Those with the Metal element prominent in their Chinese astrology are known for their will.

In many ways the will is like an internalized set of parents. Put it together with other potent forces, like a 10 card that deals with the generative power of  potential and a Major Arcana card like Service and you get a real need to push past any objections and do what you gotta do.
