XIV Moderation / Earth 2

I counted it up the other day - and recounted and recounted and recounted again this morning because it was so unbelievable to me that I've been reading tarot for 45 years. Seriously, I didn't realize I was old enough to be able to say that. But the reason I bring it up this morning is to point out that for all of us there are cards we love and cards we don't love so much, cards we long to see and cards we never want to see again. And I mused, as I saw this reading this morning, how frequently XIV shows up in these readings and how much, as a kid, I hated to see that card which was called, in the deck I was using then, Temperance. Temperance? Who wants that? Well, as it turns out, the wisdom that comes with life experience has shown me just how valuable temperance/moderation is, how important it is not to go overboard, how valuable it can be to curb your enthusiasm.
And today you would do very well to curb your enthusiasm, very well indeed for Earth 2 is a comfortable card that indicates good exchange in the material world. So we could be talking about not going nuts with your workout to get the most out of it or we could be talking about keeping quiet on your side of a business transaction and letting the other person carry the exchange where you want it to go.
Fire Son can be a little feisty, hence the warning flag.
The land in Earth 2 is an ancient fault in one of the Scandinavian countries, chosen for this card because it is a reminder that we are one underneath it all. We may look, at the moment, as though we are separate but we are all made of the same stuff and so coming together on an issue or a project is really quite a natural thing because in some dimension, we already are.
