XXI The Universe

XXI The Universe
We have no idea, really, the complexity of the universe. I love science, I do, for it it is the study of the life I love so much, and has so much to offer in the way of detail, but scientists are only human and as such, they do not seem to be able to stop making proclamations about what is. I think that all declarations about life should be preceded by the phrase, "At the moment we imagine that..." or something similar because we can only know what we can know at any given moment and because as science has rather clearly shown us, there is more to know all the time. There is never an end to it. The big gets bigger and the small gets smaller. We will never hit either the top or the bottom of All That Is. That's just the nature of the universe.
Intellectually, the universe is incomprehensible...which would be where the whole concept of The Mystery comes from. Society, back when it was matriarchal, sat quite comfortably with The Mystery, then came men and their so-called 'facts.' But I digress...There's been a build-up towards this card in the Major Arcana with every larger celestial bodies displaying their gifts, gifts which we can actually taste in our lives, gifts which have piled on to remind us that we have it all, that we are supported on every side because once we hit XXI the message is surrender.
When The Universe shows up, it's in charge. The implication is usually that whatever is going on has its own reasons for going on and you might as well just sit back and watch the show because, really, you don't have much of a choice.
