XXIV Validation

XXIV Validation

Everything changes and even good ideas can get better.

During the massive overhaul of the photography on this site, one of our blessed contributors, Julia Lehman od Vision 13 Photography, sent me, just because she knows that I have a special place in my heart for the red tail, this particularly stunning shot. It had such a powerful archetypal character to it that I couldn't ignore it. I gave it an name and a number and set it aside since Sacred Earth Seven Element was 'finished,' containing a magical content of 108 cards.

It's taken me this long to figure out that I'd trapped myself in the very kind of thinking from which I am ever hoping we shall all escape, allowing tradition - as wonderful as it may be in this case - to hold me back from creating my own magik. Today I got it...and I got too, why this is such a valuable card for this particular deck because when you are shining your very individual light, creating your particular brand of magik, stepping out on your own with only your Spirit Self to guide you, a little validation goes a long way...as one of my students said yesterday, it's a "cosmic thumbs up" and most of can use that kind of blessing from the universe once in a while, be it from the appearance of a totem animal, a certain set of numbers appearing on a clock, or a feather in your path. You know you're on the right track but that sudden appearance of a meaningful messenger brings you just a little more confidence.

In ancient times, personal validation from signs and symbols was taken for granted. As we moved into the reign of patriarchy, such events were meaningful only when 'priests' brought them forth. Eventually such synchronicity was branded as superstitious at best and at worst, satanic. As we return to a world where the individual becomes his or her own best authority on his or her own life, XXIV Validation holds a special significance, awarding you the cosmic go-ahead whenever it makes its presence known.
