Air Daughter / XXII Humility

Maybe you remember or have heard of the old childhood amusement in which you lock your hands together by interlacing your fingers, then flip them around to make your fingers look rather like the legs of an upturned cockroach, while chanting, "here is the church; here is the steeple; open the doors; see all the people."
See all the people?
In tarot, when the folks show up, they speak to You. Oh, they can indicate the presence or importance of others in your life as well, but it will always be the presence of those whom you have attracted into your life based on what part of yourself you are putting forth on a given day...like today.
So today we can pretend that all these people are aspects of ourselves. Today we have our fiery, enthusiastic and inspired male self front and center, being reminded that his way must always be tempered by the reminder that his way is not only not the only way but not even necessarily the best way. His behavior has been generated by a deeply complex feminine show of hard work, persistence, self observation and a willingness to learn new things.
Ultimately, in order to learn new things, one has to become, at least for a while, the student. So the message here is to listen...and listen carefully. Take the passenger seat for a while that you may better learn how to drive.
You'll get where you're going...and you'll be in better shape when you get there.
