OK, OK, you can't actually try not to worry. That's impossible. Once you've started the process, you're pretty much submerged in it to whatever level. You can worry on a passing basis or you can worry all the darn time. Either way, it's annoying.
Worry happens because you think that you suddenly have no control over something. This is a CO-creative universe...you never have control over anything but you and your own responses. So just allow the worry, knowing how silly you are.
