TWO

Just to continue the nonsense..."Two can be the loneliest number; it's the loneliest number since the number one."  And it can be lonely. That's because two is just two ones side by side. Ever been in an argument? It takes two to tango...and it takes two to tangle. Doctor Dolittle's Push-Me-Pull-You goes nowhere fast, expending tremendous energy without making any progress at all, the quintessential go-nowhere argument.

It also takes two - or a multiple thereof - to establish a sturdy balance and therein lies the beauty of two.

One, as a so-called odd number, is by that nature supposed to be more dynamic than any even number. Yet, because it is only one, after all, how dynamic can it actually be? Get two ones together and you'll find out. Get two ones together and you have two, a so-called even number that is supposed, by its nature, to be more passive than any odd number but somehow...isn't...because of the two ones that are involved in making it two. Where there is two, something is always happening.

Water 2 : Water = Feelings, so the Two of Water is about an exchange of feelings, any exchange of any feelings. I chose a wave to illustrate the Two of Water because it is such a beautiful illustration of what happens when water moving in one direction meets water moving in another direction. There's a beautiful clash. You may ride on the result of that clash or it may throw you under.

Wood 2 : Two is a number that is very easy to associate with the nurturing energy of Wood, which carries with it the potential for personal growth. The Two of Wood implies some assistance with that process, be it  personal or professional.

Air 2 : An incoming storm front seemed the perfect choice to illustrate what happens when mind meets mind!

Fire 2 : When the Spirit levels of the self meet up, though, it's a very different thing. Fire blends with fire, there is no resistance as with Water or Air; all fire becomes one. The Two of Fire is the easiest of the Two cards and just sweet in general. This card lends comfort to almost any situation.

Earth 2 : Long associated with trade, commerce and business success, the Two of Earth is loaded with a sense of practicality and can often imply a beneficial exchange of some sort, usually material in nature.

Metal 2 : When Will Power meets Will Power you either have a serious stand-off or you have the magic of making things work. It all depends which way the wills are flowing.

Aether 2 : II, Ecstasy : Ecstasy is the embodiment  of the Divine in the Feminine, Two in One. This is the ultimate balance.
