THREE

Let the games begin!

For my money, Three is where the real fun starts; Three is where real complexity set in; Three is where real unity - and real compromise - begins. Three is 1+1+1. Three works hard, plays harder, makes things happen. Three is, was and likely always will be, magical, at least partially because It is the melting together of two separate people, ideas, things, whatever into something that is more than simply the sum of the two parts, something that rises above our expectations, something that is almost, if not actually, magical.

Three is fun and beautiful and balanced and filled with life. Three is auspicious wherever it shows up and in whatever guise. As members of the Lower Arcana, Threes hold a great deal of promise or they validate the promise that is already there.

Water Three : The quintessential raising of feelings to the level of exquisite, whatever the feelings are.

Wood Three : Real communion, soul level communion, with the Self or the Other, promising the potential of lasting transformation, of the real integration of personal achievement. Getting it.

Air Three : Where the Mind realizes itself at the level of its true function, as a holding place for information. Where it comprehends that its function, no matter how effective it may be, is limited. The letting go, usually in creative or soul-deep ways, of attachments.

Fire Three : The perfect illustration of 1+1=1. The possibility of unsurpassed union.

Earth Three : What you can do in the material world when you receive the appropriate input (sometimes felt as pressure).

Metal Three : Will manifest as the goal realized in material form.

III : The Universal Mother :  The human embodiment of Life itself and by extension, the eternal cycle of Life.
