IX The Hermit / XI Karma

All these major arcana cards...it gives me pause to see so many in one reading; it's almost like the feeling I had once when one of my sisters told me , "Just jump," when the jump was over a very powerful undertow that would have dragged me under and into a rather large rock formation if I didn't clear it and, of course, there was nothing to do but jump if I didn't want to wait twelve hours for the tide to come in. When I see so many of these powerful cards in one place, no matter how benign their influence may seem, I get that same sense of overwhelming inevitability. The big difference between the two situations, though, is that, in the case of jumping off the rock, one has to - or one thinks one has to - actually make a decision to do it; with the major arcana cards, whatever they portend, it's already done because 'now' is, after all, eternal.
All that preamble to preface this simple statement: if you feel the need to get away, to replenish yourself, do it, do it, do it. You require it and you deserve it. You can then engage at a level that is appropriate to your circumstances.
