This is the third daughter in a row, very much in keeping with the rest of what's been going on as daughters are very much about an eager sense of embracing the new and about learning. Fire daughter brings a nice sense of ease, though, as does Air 8, as if one is finally sliding into a place of comfort - perhaps even playfulness - with the changes that have been so prevalent this past week.

Notice how the rainbow in the reversed Air 6 leads right into the branch in the Wood Daughter card...I like that...it adds to the flow of this reading where even though the elemental cycle is completely reversed, it's perfectly completely reversed: Air < Wood < Water meaning... what exactly?
Well, when elemental cycles are reversed it usually indicates forward momentum but with some kind of a drag attached...in this case the clear and precise action of the mind tugs at the desire to learn and grow in a way that, even though there is perhaps a slower than desired pace of moving forward, one is still rendered - perhaps with a dose of outside influence - rather happy with ones self.

How's that for progression?

But its interesting that, until the shift from Water 4 to Water 5, it's not exactly an easy progression. Earth and Water in exactly similar proportions tends to be mud, while Fire 3 won't fare too well with Water 3 'under' it. Water 4 on top is a little better but threatens to put out the fire...and then there's Water 5 advising, as it always does, that you look on the bright side of things.

The flood gates of emotion may be holding back more than they can stand. Let them go and feel the ease and clarity that can follow release.
